SPACE Caregiver Group

SPACE is a treatment for parents of children with anxiety disorders, OCD, or ARFID. Parents learn to change their own behavior in order to help their child learn to approach anxiety triggers. Learn more about this approach here.

Parents attend this 6-session group to learn the SPACE skills in a condensed format. They will graduate with a new skill set that can be applied to a range of anxiety presentations in children that will work even as they develop through adolescence and into adulthood.

This parent-based group is a nice approach for younger children who might not yet require therapy or kids/teens who would refuse to engage in treatment. Group therapy offers a more affordable alternative to individual (family) therapy and allows parents an opportunity to get to know other parents dealing with similar issues.
